Cheese Stuffed Hamburger Patty Recipe

Feb 14, 2020

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I am off to spend the day with the hubby today, but I wanted to share something I have cooked lately which I love. One of my passions is food and I couldn’t think of a better way than to share these warm and gewy cheese stuffed hamburger patty recipe.

I have seen these made on Master Chef Junior a few years back with regular cheese and the kids and us all quickly became really enthralled with this technique. I now often make them at home for the family.

I choose the baby bel cheese because that way I don’t have to worry about the cheese getting everywhere especially since I only buy shredded cheese for the most part.

I like this technique because it keeps the cheese nice and warm inside so it remains melted for a longer period. Plus a love an element of surprise inside of the hamburger bun.

I make it really simply for tonight. Other ways to create a nice party is to add an egg and coat the bun with breadcrumbs.

We wanted a very quick and non messy dinner tonight so we went for the easy route.

I have made these hamburgers both in the stove and on the grill. But for a healthier and mess free option, how about an  air fryer hamburger patty? You can easily cook them in the air fryer as well and it will actually keep its shape amazingly since you won’t have to turn them. To avoid a lot of messes, I line my patties with a tiny small sheet of parchment paper. Make sure it doesn’t touch the sides, but it’s just aligned at the bottom so you don’t start a fire.

These hamburger patties taste delicious with any combination of toppings.

I still loved making them this way because I didn’t have a lot of clean up to deal with right after.
